Thank you for the response. However, I don't think that the specs I'm looking for should really put me back $2500. The Macbook Air has the specs I'm looking for at $1400, but I'm personally trying to avoid buying Apple.
I don't think you could get these specs to a $1400 McBook Air unless it's refurbished. These specs that you posted would play around $2000-$2500 really. One good example is this
Samsung NP900X4C which has 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, i7 and weighs just 3.6 lbs. You could also get a
]Lenovo Thinkpad T430 with almost the same specs as the other option (Samsung). New generation
HP laptops could also give you the same specs with a little bit lower cost but it would be above $1500.
