Hey guys, I needed to buy a laptop.
I play games like League of Legends, but I would also like to finally get around to playing some of the harder to play FPS games in my Steam library. Playing things on Ultra isn't necessary, but I would love to see some high quality 1080p games
It's going to be a replacement for my desktop at home!

My budget is ~$1500, anything slightly higher I will still consider, and I really would like a 4th generation Haswell processor in it and maybe a SSD + HDD combo.

Currently, I'm looking at a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p because it is on sale right now (today only) at http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/index.html

I'm also looking into an ASUS G750 because of how powerful and well designed it seems.

Those are two that really stuck out in my mind while researching for laptops.
I am open to different laptops/brands as well

Thanks for the help!

The SLI model wouldn't be a bad option for your budget, but you can get a system for roughly the same price with a GTX 770M, which should treat you better than the two 750M SLI setup. Look into Sager/Clevo, particularly the P151SM1, the P170SM, or the P172SM-S.

Thanks for the advice, I'm taking a look at some Sager laptops on xoticpc.com right now

After looking around, I'm really interested in the Sager laptops, but I'm between the NP8230 and NP7352

From what I'm seeing, it seems the 200 price difference is only to upgrade the gpu from 765M to 770M
Do you think it's worth it?

Poor Prostar helps you out and you don't even go to their service....

BTW Prostar, I was wondering why it doesn't seem like the P172SM even exists, except on your website or XtremeComputers?

Lol thanks leeuniverse.

That's because... we're awesome. :D The "s" suffix denotes a "special edition". It's based off the P170SM (same chassis, screen, and guts) with a few small changes to the components, like RAM and the optical drive. Same thing with the P157SM and P158SM-S and the P150SM and P152SM-S.

Ya, I new about the "s".... It's just the model # itself doesn't exist (without the s). All other "s's" have a corresponding model number.

But anyway, according to your email that's just how Sager did it. Okay I guess.
