Insufficient permission to write file during installation of adobe flash 11.

for the sake of saving my wrists - heres the thread at adobe:

http://forums.adobe.com/message/5443456#5443456

If you are wonderful and take the time to read and follow links and enlarge jpegs....you are beyond awesome! I am just crossing my fingies that there is just a happenstance fellow who knows this issue and how to solve it! Or a stumbler who likes to solve mysteries :)

(dude from adobe sent me private message saying that he doesn't really peruse the forums anymore and good luck...he's the top current collaborator! what did I do? ask a difficult question for free, I guess. what are forums for again?)

I have read that thread and did everything it suggested to a T, twice, sometimes three times. And still I get the same message. I have purchased a fancy new desktop. And once I have installed an OS and security, I am formatting this laptop and will re-install everything from scratch. It is the only solution, I think. I may have a Trojan. So! When I do all that, and if I cannot install Flash still... I will post again! Thank you for responding :)
