Can I charge my y500 via USB battery as it has USB Charging port?

If I bought a mobile battery and a male to male usb cable, could I give my laptop some juice from the battery? Would be great travelling etc. Obviously not to play games, but just watch movies?

The laptop's USB port is for charging phones and such, not the other way around as far as I know.

Short answer: no.

The USB ports are not routed to the charging circuit for the battery. They only output power, as well.
