1920x1080 - side question, would resolution effect the HDMI output? If so the higher the better.

Semi-portable for the occasional use at school (not a big deal if the laptop is large or heavy)

Any is fine.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Moderate gaming, probably just some strategy games like civ 5, 4, etc
