I can't decide between one of them.... They are both amazingly fast and have a powerful GPU. They have the EXACT same specs. Portability is really important for me. I like to move alot with my laptop in every room. I would like to know how thick is the alienware compared to the razer blade and if I should get a razer blade or a alienware because the alienware cost 500$ less than the razer blade.

out of those 2 choices go with neither lol. the razer is super thin but im sure gets molten hot, the alienware (at least last years model) has some massive performance issues. my buddy has an mx14 and when he first got it performance was great. key popped out and dell sent a guy to fix it (good service) then a few months later performance dropped and he cant play games like he used to. he completely re formatted the disk and reinstalled windows, set powersave settings to the max allowed, made sure programs were using the gpu and after days upon days of trying to fix it nothing.. hes still happy with it, but that would be a deal breaker for me. (he even overclocked his ram to 1866, which was stable but overheated.) it could be faulty ram, or hardrive but he spent 1400 on a laptop to have it basically break a few months later. hopefully that wouldnt happen to you, but after some research it was somewhat common for that year/make

Completely agree here. To me expensive laptops just aren't worth it. The Razer Blade is a great product but it's crazy overpriced. At $2500, the Razer is way too expensive for me to recommend, despite that it has some cool features. If I had that kind of money to spend on a system, I'd get a $1K laptop like a Lenovo Y500 and a $1500 desktop, best of both worlds.

I am set on razer blade and alienware. I don't really like lenovo Y500 because if you don't have the SLI version it's not really good. For the problems with the alienware I think it's gone because alienware created a new model. Anyone can tell me how think it is. Like in centimeter please.

alienware is really overpriced. the motto seems to be "half the performance at twice the price." There's really no reason to get alienware-I don't know why you'd be set on it. I'd go for Sager and maybe MSI (I don't know that much about MSI but my friends seem to really like them).

Beacause I want to protability. Sincerly I really find the MSI/ASUS look really ugly. The fans are really huge behind them I don't like that at all and I don't want a gt 650m as a graphics card I want something really good that will last me for years.

*sigh okay here are the links...
alienware (newer model is going to be released soon) http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-m14x-r2/pd

Razer (wow thats pricey with a laughably small hard drive) http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-blade

just saying the fans are huge to keep it cool, and that ultimately helps the hardware last longer. i dont see how the razer can keep cool.. my macbook cpu gets 80C when doing an intense task, and it looks like it has better cooling then that razor. i like my razor mouse, but that laptop is super expensive, if you are willing to pay such a premium for a mediocre product build a super power desktop in a small form factor case..

Well... I guess I have to build a PC then. I really like the portability but I guess it's fine. I can buy a cheap laptop that can run games at low/medium and have a desktop at the same time.

I agree, I think Alienware is incredibly overrated. Not to mention that expensive laptops depreciate in value far more than desktops will. If I had $2500 to spend, I'd get a $800 laptop and put the rest in a nice desktop, that would be the best of both worlds.

You can do better than that for $1300, you don't need an i7 for a gaming rig. Drop that and invest more in your GPU. H87 isn't really true SLI capable, it has the lanes but really you're better off going Z87.

Try this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($239.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 37.9 CFM CPU Cooler ($60.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vector Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($144.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($425.91 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case ($107.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1180.82
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

$200 cheaper with better GPU and 4670K. Add whatever monitor you want.

I actually don't need a SSD or 1 TB HDD. I would like to keep the case because I find it cooler and I took a 750W PSU to not bottleneck the GPU when it will be SLI and is the cpu cooler important? I can't use intels cooler AND I can't find the cooler you gave me in new egg.

I removed the
HIS IceQ H787Q2G2M Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

for a

SAPPHIRE 100355-1GOCL Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card OC Version

I took a less expensive 23.6'' monitor, took out the mouse and now I have a 750$ build

Definitely no on that power supply - Apevia power supplies are absolute garbage. Pay a bit more and get something from Seasonic or Corsair, you won't regret it one bit. Too much money spent on peripherals too. You could drop some of those and upgrade your GPU. You can always add the good peripherals later.
