Thanks, that MSI does look pretty solid. I would like some additional options though

My first bet would be Alienware M17X, then MSI Gamebooks (Intel versions for sure)
there is barely another option for gaming anyways :)

What about the newer m18x?

Nice profile picture, maybe a hint of bias? Just kidding :)

as you know all alienware's are highly customizable, m18 is not new but just larger by size as far as i know... (didnt really check recently)
but lets say m13 is 13", m15 is 15" and m17 is 17" size lol so guess what ? :p
size is just a personal preference. I'd prefer 17" 1080p to be honest. When it is larger it doesnt feel like a notebook at all :p

thanks for the comment on pic! :D

What about iBuyPower and the Valkyrie CZ-27? They seem a bit more well-priced...

Sager is always a good bet.

First off, the obligatory "have you considered a desktop?" comment.

If you live in the US, Alienware is a decent option for gaming laptops. Much better warranty than Sager/Clevo and MSI, and its laptops are more durable. I would wait a few months for OEMs to squash the Haswell bugs and vendors to give more discounts.

Check out forum.notebookreview.com for more advice.

Note: You may want to buy the MSI if you cannot get a good discount on an Alienware.
