Asus Laptop battery 90% but only works on Adapter

I bought Asus UX21 18months ago. Got this 90% available but not charging message. Replaced with brand new official battery and still same problem - only works when plugged in.
Any thoughts

The UX21 does not have a user replaceable battery? Did our service centers replace it for you under warranty, or did you open it up and replace yourself? If the laptop only runs on AC and shuts off as soon as you unplug it, than there is a problem with the battery or battery connection usually.

i have same problem with an ee pc. my batery shows 96% but not charging and when i unplug the ac the pc doesnt work on batery
