that might help you found on:http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/laptops/1296124/lenovo-g580

"Unfortunately, the laptop didn’t perform half as well in games, but it's very rare to see a portable PC with decent gaming performance at this price. The G580 uses the Intel HD Graphics 3000 chipset built into its processor, but this is not powerful enough to run modern titles. The laptop couldn’t run our Dirt Showdown benchmark at our laptop settings of 1,280x720, 4x anti-aliasing and High graphics detail, showing you’d have to turn detail levels down to sub-console levels to get any kind of smooth gameplay in modern titles. If your gaming veers more towards the casual than the hardcore, though, you can always have some fun with the Windows 8 Store's 2D titles."

I understand now your running on HD graphics which is in GPU inside the processor. You might want to take a look at the without a dedicated M series graphics card in your G580, you wont be able to run most modern titles. Most game have a minimum system requirement check before you try saves a lot more time.

intel HD3000 is very very weak for games look at the chart below and you'll understand. Its more than 20 tiers down from the best card money can buy.

You'll need to play non demanding games with the Intel HD 3000. I tested the Intel HD 3000 in my Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 for the hell of it. It was able to play Mass Effect 3 on low settings (likely Mass Effect 1 and 2 as well) at 1366x768 resolution. It is also capable of playing Fallout 3 after downloading a D3D9.dll file that was originally created for Oblivion in the Oldbilivion project. It tricks the game into thinking there is something like a nVidia 8600 GT card other than an Intel graphics core, but you need to use a mix of low and medium settings.

I would assume you can also play Half Life 2 and many other games using Valve's Source Engine on low settings without much issues like Portal 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike, and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. I also assume it can play Dragon Age: Origins as well since it came out around the same time as Mass Effect 1 I think.

You will not be able to play GTA 4, Battlefield 3, none of the Crysis games, Metro 2033 and likely many current games. As long as you keep your expectations low, you should be ok.
