I have an old stereo that I use as my PC speakers. I have recently got a second monitor and there is not no more room on my desk for it (only the speakers) I was hope to make/buy some sort of in-line volume control (with aux connectors on each end) to adjust the volume as the stereo is now under my desk. its not so easy to change the volume any more
