Can anyone telll me how to reset the CMOS password on an Acer Aspire 5532-5535 Notebook? I am trying to load Win XP and i CAN'T CHANGE THE Boot order......PLEASE HELP!!!

But you ask to reset the CMOS password, same has bypass the security, no ?

No! When you say bypass security, then you are implying I am doing something that's not legal. Like a crack or a hack. Neither of which I am trying to do. I setup and then forgot the password I setup long before the virus knocked out my O.S. and now I can't recover because its trying to boot from the HD which is empty and has been formatted. Now understand?

Ok, now I understand, you just want to clear the password you forgot and change the order of the boot device. It's not illegal, I can tell you how to do it, but wait how do I know that this is your laptop? I can't be sure, sorry no help from me.

Oh, OK I get it....sarcastic and pretentious all in the same line. I'm so heart broken that I can't get "your" help because "YOU" can't verify its my Laptop. YOU wouldn't want a lawsuit filed for helping criminals crack bios passwords on 8 Yr old Laptops, the owner forgot his BIOS password for.
