hi just bought a Yamaha YHT-S300, http://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/audio-visual/hometheater-systems/front-virtual-surround-systems/yht-s300_black__g/

I´ve noticed that there is an connection also for a center speaker,,, what do you think needed? if yes any advice ?

Solution
The center channel should match the sound of the left and right speakers so find one that has the same speakers in it that the left and right have if possible. Getting an additional speaker the same as the left and right you got would be the best option. Check the model number on the back and contact Yamaha or your dealer.

Hi ddtpz,

The answer depends on your needs. Adding a center speaker will be useful mostly if you listen to movies, while keeping the stereo configuration will be better if you listen to music.

P.S.: I should have added that you probably have a setting on your amp so you can choose between 2.1 and 3.1 if you intend to do both :)
