Hello
I am from india and am plannin g to buy a laptop mostly for gaming & everyday tasks.
I am mostly focussing on Dell Sony and HP.
my budget is Rs 50000. :)
I am confused in the type of graphic card to choose as most of these laptops have gt740m or radeon hd 7560m or hd8560m.
Pls suggest which graphic card is better for demanding games like gta4 just cause 2 et all...
also suggest which processor to look for (i5 or i7) also which i5 is best for gaming.
Thank u :D

Well, here's the thing. Laptops aren't really fantastic for gaming. Demanding games just won't run that well. Games like Planetside 2 don't do well on laptops at all, because of how demanding they are on graphics and processor.

However, if you are determined to get a laptop, the GT740M and HD8560M are the latest in mobile graphics I believe.

Also, laptop processors are different as well. Are any of the options you are looking at a quad-core, or are they all dual-cores?

Thanks for your reply
I know laptops arent very ideal for gaming but its gonna be my first lappy so it better be capable enough. :)
All my options are having 3rd gen processors(ivy bridge).
I am considering inspiron 14r or 15r. with the best config.
Will they be beaten by an alienware by large or it would be a minute difference

I think these will be the perfect options for your price range. They are very well built and are great dollar per specs laptops. You will be able to play all games on these (maybe not on ultra but they are playable.) They are not too big so they are portable. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I can't find any information on the Radeon HD 7560m. There is the Radeon HD 7560g, but that is in the desktop Trinity APU.

I can't find any information on the Radeon HD 8560m. There is the Radeon HD 8560g in the A10-5750m APU.

I would go for the nVidia GT 740m since the Radeon HD 8770m is estimated to be equal to GT 740m.

How is the brand sager?? coz i have never heard of it.
I am consdering this: Sager NP8250 (Clevo P157SM) with 16gb ram gtx770m graphics and 4th gen i7 4700qm processor.
total of 1378$
Is this a good config for ultra gaming?

That laptop will suite you fantastically.

But you will never be able to upgrade the graphics. The bright side is it can go up to 32GB of RAM (which you will never need).

The GT 750m is estimated to be equal to the GT 660m, so two GT 750m should be faster than two GT 650m.

A single GT 750m is estimated to be equivalent to the Radeon HD 6950m / HD 7850m / HD 8850m; all three seems to share similar performance level.

Sager has been around for a while. I've read that it is better to buy Sager laptops through a third party reseller like ProStar and Xotics since they have better customer support than dealing directly with Sager. Clevo is an ODM (original design manufacturer) and their laptop chassis (basically the shell) is considered good overall. But reviews say that their designs are considered to be rather bland looking and many seem to have a plastic like feel to them.

15.6" Full HD Anti-Reflective Display (16:9; 1920 x 1080)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 765M 2G GDDR5

and
MSI GX60 3AE-216US
AMD A10-5750 Processor
AMD Radeon™ HD 7970M 2GB GDDR5
both are 15 inch.

Both of them are at same price.
i dont even prefer a blu ray reader...
pls advice or suggest a better option.
Thanks :D

What would you suggest among these:
Lenovo y410p, MSI GE40, Alienware 14
i'm looking for a 14"laptop for college with decent gaming quality GTX preferred :p
Alienware has a 1366x768 display(1080p exceeds my budget). Is it really that bad. as we currently have a 15" sony laptop with the same display and it is just fine.
lenovo has GT750m and MSI has gtx760m. So the lenovo is my last choice.
