I recently bought the Logitech z906 speakers, they are absolutely incredible, but i want to know if i will notice a big difference in a few different scenarios.
My computer has no soundcard, and i am using the onboard 7.1 channel audio, which is 3 3.5mm jack plugs. I want to know how big a difference i will get in sound quality and crispness if i get the sound blaster z (http/www.dabs.com/products/creative-sound-blaster-z-pci-express-oem-8PTC.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product%20search&utm_content=Q200) and then connect that up to my speakers via optical.
I also want to know if there is any point in getting some new speaker cable for each speaker. As it stands at the moment, i have god knows how many meters of the bog standard stuff that comes with the speakers, and i want to get the minimum amount i need to connect the speakers to the sub. So let's say i got some OFC cable, would there be a noticeable difference between that, and your ordinary twin core copper stuff (it's about 2mm thick)
