Which laptop would run games better?

Well, it won't play mid-high tier games well because it doesn't have a video card.
I'd say go with the i5 since i5>i3.
The gaming laptops go for around $900-ish :)

Do you really can not afford to spend more money?
All of those run with HD4000 and that is sh*t for gaming.

It runs games but it doesn't run that mid-high tier games in high settings.
If you play games using that built in graphics card it'll be slow and laggy.
I have a laptop with a Core i5 3210 and Intel HD Graphics 4000. I can't play any of the new games today.

On that website http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000.691... it says it can play gta 4 black ops 2 assassins creed 3 and fifa 13?

I wouldn't consider 30 fps and below as "playable"

Anything that is a dedicated graphics card. 650M, 660M, and the like.
Gaming laptops start at around $700 and up?

Then if that's the case, I'd choose the first option.
