Looking for a cheap laptop that needs to be around £500, £600 would be a max if necessary but no more. I already have a PC for real gaming but need something that can handle some games at low settings. Tis is what I'm looking for.
-SSD Drive - 120gb preferred
-Space for 2nd drive
-Decent GPU like a 640M
-Decent processor
-Ram can be 4-8gb
Don't care about the rest. Is there anything out there for this price?
http://www.novatech.co.uk/laptop/range/novatechnfinityn1404.html#reviews I saw this which looks great but 1.7ghz cpu looks bad and does it have room for another drive? Thanks. Any suggestions on what to buy would be great - links would be even better :)
PS-I don't need an OS.

tbh any thing can handle modern games. i'll get you a list of good laptops for that price.

You have this decent machine for 300 quid which will run all your games. Not at max settings but yeah they'll definitely run at 30-35 fps with this one..

THIS one i just found looks like nothing less than a gem if you ask me.

its a tiny bit over your budget but dude.. the thing has a HD7670 im all for nvidia but that GPU can beat GT640m's butt any day of the week.

Yeh the second laptop looks great! However I found this website PC Specialist where I can fully customise my laptop and I put together this build:
CPU:i5 3230m 2.6Ghz
RAM:1x8Gb 16000mhz allowing me to buy another in the future
GPU:GT 645M 1GB (any good?)
HDD:500GBb WD Black 7200rpm (decided SSDs are too much)
The rest is just standard tbh, however the 17" screen is awesome!
So is this worth the cash because Im willing to pay for it (as long as it's not £600+)
or should I go with the Toshbia
Heres a link to their website btw =on&compare[2703]=on&compare[2764]=on]http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/compare-laptops/?compare[2702]=on&compare[2703]=on&compare[2764]=on

I've heard about that website a lot too. I almost forgot about it  Personally, i would just be happy with a custom built laptop like the ones these guys are selling. Also, Novatech offers custom built laptops too. But i've heard pretty good reviews from pcspecialist.co.uk heres a word of advice. NEVER buy from PC world (Overpriced). Always buy from Overclockers or Dabs.com when it comes to pc components.

I still can't believe i forgot about Pcspecialist.co.uk -___- Facepalm* I'd definitely go with the custom built laptop. Just the idea of not having a logo on the back of my laptop makes me feel good haha

Also, the GT645m should handle pretty good in games. Even on the highest resolution (1280x1024 or 1336x768 or 1440x900) with some of the eye candy tuned down. But i think you'll be fine because if i can run far cry 3 on 1280x1024 with an obsolete core 2 duo and a 9600 gso 384mb then you can definitely run it -__-

One more thing, I have ruled SSDs out of the equation since my budget won't allow big enough ones to store my data and can't afford a PC with 2 slots. It's either a 750GB 7200 WD Black or a 500GB Seagate Momentous XT Hybrid drive 5400rpm. Pricing is similar so don't mind which one but which is best. I don't care about noise as long as it is not extremely loud and as for space 500GB is fine but having more would allow me to not worry about saving space. I read reviews on the XT and the 5400rpm model seems bad. I like the idea of the Black drive but is it that much better that the blue drive which is quite a bit cheaper? Any suggestions on what to pick would be appreciated :)

Hmm that's all down to you to be honest. Be aware that the black HDD's do make a significantly more amount of noise than the blue's. I'd go for the black anyways since its somewhat better than the blue when it comes to performance. Games load faster. Less booting time, that kind of thing. Of course i would never choose the black over the blue one if the difference in price was anything larger than umm lets say 10-15 quid. Then i'd just stick with the blue 500gb one
