We have seen a tablet with Core i3 3229Y ULV processor and launched into market. Maybe it called "hybrid ultrabook", actually is a tablet.

If you like using Acer PC (TPC), I would rather you bought the newest Acer P3-171 3322Y2G06as (Core i3 3229Y ULV processor), which is with an SATA 3.0 SSD, but is not a very bad eMMC SSD to an x86 OS - all of the Atom z2760 tablets.

Acer P3-171 3322Y2G06as (i3 3229Y) tablet is now price 3200 CNY (520 USD) in China (does not include keyboard kit), 11.6-inch IPS screen, USB 3.0, weight 768g, battery 6 hours, cold boot time is less than 10-sec, very fast.
Acer P3-171 3322Y2G06as (i3 3229Y) tablet kit is 4300 - 4999 CNY (695 - 800 USD), the keyboard includes accessional sub-battery 3 hours.
Acer P3-171-5333Y2G12as kit (i5 3339Y processor, 2GB Ram, 128GB SATA SSD, keyboard kit) is 5999 CNY (970 USD), no 4GB Ram in Chinese local market, and the P3-171-5333Y2G12as is too expensive cost as the tablet.

Acer P3-171 3322Y2G06as (i3 3229Y) tablet is far better than the Acer W 510. (Acer W 510: Atom z2760, 4799 CNY/750 USD, with keyboard kit, the recent price and launched over 7 months. But Acer P3-171(i3 3229Y) tablet kit is 4300 - 4999 CNY/695 - 800 USD/just launched 20 days only, what do you think?)

However, Acer P3-171 (i3 3229Y) tablet is also with non-interchangeable battery, which the battery gotten 300 deep charge cycles (or 500 charge cycles in half empty), and later you will helplessly discard as this useless tablet because the battery died. Paid cost 695 USD to only get in 300 (or 500) charge cycles.
And, in outdoors, you unable to load an interchangeable battery into the tablet.
This immoral battery way came from Apple, and later it gotten many of copycats, very damned.
With the fixed 2GB RAM is unable to get a upgrade, (Running 64-bit Windows OS the RAM needed with 4GB at lowest).
For the two obvious cons unsatisfactory.

Do not recommend its keyboard kit, the keyboard base is weight over 600g, too heavy and expensive cost. I only wanted the Acer P3-171 (i3 3229Y) to serve as an x86 Windows tablet. You can choose from third-party keyboard base, much lighter and cheap, if it needed.

In currently Chinese local market is temporarily difficult to buy a standalone version of Acer P3-171 (i3 3229Y) tablet, Acer wanted to sell you guy with more keyboard kit, not a tablet body only.
Also, before the Y series processor tablets get to a mass of launch, all of the makers wanted to cut down overstocked of the Atom z2760 tablet. So, next 3 months you will see the overstocked Atom z2760 tablets have to cut down the price, but is not quicker to launch a lot of the 500 USD zone of the Y series processor tablet.

(As for myself, I prefer Dell, HP and Toshiba, secondly Samsung and Asus, not Acer)

Intel Core i3 3229Y is currently the new ULV processor the Y series, very fits to x86 Windows tablet, far better than the Atom z2760, despite that sounds like the z2760 with lower battery consumption.
Also, in the Y series the Pentium 2129Y is also better than the Atom Z2760.

I very expect the 8 or 9 inches (1280x800 IPS screen) Windows 8 tablet with the Y series ULV processor. I can accept the 6 hours battery on the 8 or 9 inches tablet, (In top-quality HD video continuous playback test will not less than 3 hours).
The body's deep in 15mm would be good-enough, does not need 10mm or ultrathin, tablet is not like ultrathin stockings on erogenous thighs of belle.

If you wanted a really creditable Atom tablet, need to wait for Bay Trail, will support for SATA 2.0 (not 3.0) and USB 3.0. Also, 8 or 9 inches Windows 8 tablet would come soon.
(The current Clover Trail Atom z2760 does not support SATA SSD and USB 3.0, but is a very bad eMMC SSD only, so, it is handicapped)

Truly, Mr. Paul Otellini ought to retire (Yes, just done last week). Up to now, the Windows 8 is not adequately active in tablet market, therein the problem in half actually showed from Intel Atom z2760. If with eMMC SSD, why need to buy the expensive Atom z2760 Windows 8? (eMMC is not acceptable performance on x86 OS). But iPad is cheaper with eMMC.

Even if the eMMC SSD Windows 8 Atom z2760 to drop down the price will be still inconclusive, as the Android tablets are always with cheaper price and flooding, but the Windows x86 tablet's mainly advantageous conditions are not the lowest-end market, so, Atom in x86 Windows must support SATA SSD with better performance.

Kodak corp have ever had a lot of advanced digital image technologies, however Kodak only tried to keep their film profit margin during faced to the raging waves of digital image market, and went to the opposite direction. Sorry, people have seen Kodak finally speeded up died at himself. Today, could it be Kodak ghost would replay to Intel?

If others who - like AMD may hit in x86 mobile computing market, well then, Intel will have to do Atom to provide SATA 3.0 and USB 3.0 with better performance (might be even SATA 6 Gb, no longer 2.0). Regrettable, AMD is now very stagnant. In the current x86 mobile processor industry the competition is too lacking.

update

1. SATA SSD
The Acer P3-171 Disk interface is SATA version 2.0 (3 Gbit/s, 300 MB/s). Though first batch launched of the P3-171 is using Intel 525 series SSD, the SSD itself supports up to SATA version 3.x (6 Gb/s).

According to the reported of outward demo in before launch Acer told people their P3-171 is using Intel 525 series SSD (mSATA).
The P3-171 Windows 8 system infomation shows: Disk drive -- Intel SSDMCEAC060B3A (Intel 525 series SSD)
It is no guarantee in future would always employ Intel SSD, other words, they switch to other brand of SATA SSD to be very possible, if cost is cheaper, that is Acer.

2. The 2 GB RAM and 64 bit Windows 8
Currently selling the Acer P3-171 is with 64-bit Windows 8, no 32-bit OS version.
Also, we saw of the P3-171 drivers and BIOS are for 64-bit Windows 8 only, no 32-bit OS version.
The key point is that Windows 8 BIOS is different from past, this BIOS only supports for 64-bit OS, so, you unable to reinstall 32-bit Windows 8.

Acer in the P3-171 providing the 2 GB Ram is too small, for the P3-171 runs 64-bit Windows 8.

3. USB port
Though the P3-171 provided USB 3.0 connection, but the USB connection is one port only, too few, should be the two USB ports at least.

4. Others: Atom z2760 does not support SATA SSD
All the current Atom z2760 tablets do not support SATA SSD, that are with very slow eMMC SSD only, any brand.
If maker claimed an SSD inside the Atom z2760 tablet, then you must be very cautious, usually they do not wish you to know eMMC inside the tablet.

Maybe you were once wondering, why is MS did not release an Atom z2760 tablet to their Surface series, however, when you known the Atom z2760 does not support SATA SSD, would get intelligible.
