I'm weird in many ways, but not the least of which is that I tend to game with a trackpoint. I've been doing this for years, and I'm quite good at it (way back when, I learned to fly a helicopter in the DC mod for BF1942 just using the trackpoint).

However, I'd like to be able to use the middle mouse button on the trackpoint as a mousewheel, especially in games like Skyrim. I've tried various emulators and used different settings with no success. I'd like to know if there is anyone else that has had this problem, and what did you do - if anything - to fix it?

Thanks!

I have ThinkPad T420, 4236-Z7Y

I'm not sure i understand. You want it so that when you hold down the middle mouse button, the trackpoint works like a scrollwheel?
If so, i think Autohotkey might work.

I've never been able to get autohotkey to work this way, but you're right I thought that it should have worked. If anyone has a profile for a thinkpad that does this, I'd be very grateful!

I'm not trying to enable middle click, I'm trying to enable middle scroll - when you press and hold the middle mouse button down and push up or down on the stick, whatever is under the mouse, or the page, scrolls up or down. For the record, Civ V works perfectly, I can scroll through lists, zoom in and out, etc., with the middle mouse button held down. In Skyrim, it's not recognized. Don't know why that is, but someone smarter than me probably does!
