Hi

Im not really the best at working out what makes a good laptop so i was hoping you'd be able to help.

I currently have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6916. Ive had this for about 5 years now. It's served me well for playing games such as Command + Conquer and Football Manager but it's faulty now due to age.

I was looking at getting a Toshiba Satellite C855-17M, it's not to dear and it's not to cheap. I was wondering if this would be a suitable laptop to play a few games on, would it be fast enough?

Hey DJM,

I'm glad your Toshiba has served you well. They do make fairly good quality laptops. :)

The c855-17m is definitely not good for gaming, though. You could play some very basic things on it, however, it's running strictly Intel graphics on a Pentium. Are you going to be playing anything more demanding than the two games you listed (also, which command + conquer matters)?

I dont really want to be paying more than £550 for a laptop.

I only play Football Manager really and it doesn't involve huge graphics. It played brilliantly on my current Toshiba Satellite A305-S6916 so any laptop around this quality would be fine.

Thanks for the feedback.
