Beginner looking for monitors and amp setup.

Hello community and thanks in advance for your replies. Looking for some better quality sound for music and have heard that going with monitor speakers and an amp if necessary is a good route to take. Not really looking for surround sound or anything I have headphones for gaming.

I have a soundblaster z sound card and am looking for a nice beginner set at a reasonable budget lets say $350. Is this doable or does my budget need to go up?

Heard the AV40's were nice. Are they any better than the polk brand ones? They only $20s more if it worth it i got no problem spending it.

Read your other post. Some good advice. But since your budget is higher, find a good used stereo shop and listen to some stuff before you buy.

As said in your other post far cheaper stuff like Dayton B652 better value , thee_prisoner offers great advice : being able to audition before you buy rather than go by reviews (trusting your ears)
