Not really closed as there are a three holes that's made for airflow and sound quality: V-MODA Crossfade LP. They are excellent headphones with amazing bass & superb build quality. Based on your music tastes, I'd say it's perfect. The Crossfade ones aren't really good at pure vocal songs though. Like soft piano + strong vocals = bad. I have a few V-MODA Crossfade and the newer M-100. Sound leakage is minimal and is only heard when you blast your volume.

Another brand that I would recommend is Sennheiser HD 449. I have an older HD 448 and the only bad thing I could say about it is the build quality isn't great. It's plastic so the adjustable head band can loosen over time and that gets annoying. Other than that, I can't say many bad things about it. Sound quality is great, while not as great as the V-MODAs. But they are closed and has little to no noise leakage as opposed to the V-MODAs.
