I know a lot of it boils down to personal taste as far as higher resolution on a 15" screen, but do those of you who have experience with the E6530 think the 1080p screen is an all around better screen than the 900p, i.e. color, viewing angle, clarity of text?

It depends on the panel itself you can get high quality low res panels and low quality high res... So the loser res screen might look better.. Unless you can give us exact models we would not be able to help to much.

I'm here waiting for an answer to the same question! I want to know if the 1920x1080 screen will make the text so small in business software (Excel, etc) that it will be hard to read.

If you want an idea of text size, try going into a local retailer and look for any 1080p laptop. Or do you know anyone with an 15" 1080p laptop that has Excel installed that you could take a peek at?

Not expecting perfection, but I've been looking at the Outlet, and because of limited selection, trying to decide it the 1080p is that much better than the 900p to pass on the lower screen res. units that have everything else I want.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't know anyone with a 15" laptop.... and the store models don't have Excel, as you mentioned. I'm sure the 1080p laptops are superb for videos, gaming and such, but I live in a Beancounter World where little columns of numbers are my entertainment. :sarcastic: I've pretty much decided to go with the 1600x900, as my current e6410 has 1440x900 and I'm happy with using that resolution. Hopefully I won't be sorry.
