Best Gaming Laptop 1000 Or under

Most of the brands you have heard of don't actually "make" a laptop.

As for the Asus..... slow 5400 rpm HD (Clevo has 7200), smaller screen (14 versus 15.6) , chinsy 1366 x 768 resolution (versus 1920 x 1080), less battery cells 6 versus 8 on Clevo), no optical drive (Clevo has 8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL), Asus has no bluetooth (Clevo does), Clevo has way more ports, better sound, better card reader and fingerprint reader

That's a decent laptop overall, and a good one for the price. The 660M will treat you well on those games (especially since you're not aiming for high FPS on ultra settings). The worst thing about it is the screen, though you don't generally find that size of a screen in anything beyond 720p anyway.

So for an i 5, a 660M, and 8 GB of RAM, that's a solid machine at a solid price. If you can afford to upgrade to a SSD at some point, then you'll REALLY be set.

I would go with this Lenovo Y500. It comes with an I7 3630QM and a GT 750m (If you are a student you can call Lenovo and get another $20 or so off by talking to the rep)
