Hello,
I have an Asus X501u.
Now, when i try to power it on, the screen comes up that says ''Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software might be the problem''
And it let's me choose between "Launch Startupt Repair" it and "Start Windows Normally".
When i select the repair startup it says Windows is loading files' for a while, then the loading bar with above it the Windows Corporation phrase above it.
But then it goes black ... and stays black, but the laptop is still on though.
When i select "Start Windows Normally", the screen with Starting Windows on it, and the Windows Logo, and that's it, it stays on that screen, the logo is moving though so it's not completely frozen ..
Does anyone know what to do?

Greetings.

Is the laptop brand new or did it work for a while and this happened all of a sudden? If it is brand new, I would return it back to the reseller. I looks like the o/s is corrupted, and if it is new, I would not bother with a repair. If it worked fine before, call our support line, and we might be able to do the troubleshooting to see what's going on for you.

You can try booting into Safe Mode, or as a secondary, run the recovery process. Otherwise, I return it to the retailer if you're within the return period per their policy, either for an exchange or a refund. If you're outside their return window, then you can go through Asus support.
