I know most people said GPU > CPU, but still, which one to choose?

Currently I have a notebook with spec of i7-3612QM + NVIDIA 640M 2GB. But I'm thinking of switching to a slim notebook for better mobility (and for the looks as well :)). So I've done my research and narrow the options down to 2 options to choose:
1. i5-3317U + NVIDIA 740M 2GB
2. i5-3210M + AMD 8750M 1GB
and the rest spec is about the same.

As for notebook use:
1. Work: internet, word processing, and sometimes image & vector editing, but no movie nor 3D rendering.
2. Games: well, any games will do for me. Now I am currently playing Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3, World of Tanks, and Tera Online most of the time.

From what I've heard and read, higher GPU is (almost) always better than higher CPU for gaming, thus 740M is better than 8750M notebook, even though it comes with ULV compared to normal voltage processor?

What do you think guys?

sigh I hate mobile video card name branding from both amd and nvida anyways assuming both are DDR3 cards then yes the 740 should be a little better in games. however the i5 3210M looks to be up to 30% faster ovr all so if your concern is more about batter life I would say go with the UV otherwise the 8750 seems to perform close enough to the 740 where I would personally go with the faster processor.
