i thought as much. they are laptops. gaming and laptops are an oxymoron. you may get about 3-4 months work out of it then the problems will start rolling in.
best bet is to get a matx ready built pc.

Agreed laptops aren't gaming computers, but don't make it sound like people are stupid if they have to use a laptop. I move around the world often and I can't afford two desktops in two locations so I am forced to use a laptop.

I game pretty hard on it in my hours while not working but also while working I push the machine to it's limit. 150+ browsers, multiple VMs running simultaneously, connected to multiple VPNs, Office software, multiple email programs with other video chat and music software open all at once.

The heat generated from this is insane but that is why I built a good laptop cooler (with this guides assistance: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/hardware-software-discussion/91613-110cfm-laptop-cooler.html#post709385)

I didn't have this for the first 10 months of ownership and my laptop survived and still performs with the same amount of speed as it did when I purchased it.

It has been a little over a year now but I feel like I have put a couple years worth on this system. 10,000 hours of this system being online and running strong still.

The laptop I am using is a Sager reseller named Pro Star, the model is P15EM or something like that. Based in California or something.. Anyways these aren't quiet nor cold but that can be fixed with music and a home made well-built cooling system.

I don't like the hardware combo in these laptops. How much are these costing? Anyways the AMD A10 may be enough but I have been avoiding AMD and going with Intel. Now the i5 should be good for gaming but it comes with only 4GB of RAM. So I could see you having to close apps before a starting a game to ensure a smooth ride.

The AMD has a much more RAM, which 2.5GB can be beneficial if you could support higher resolutions... But this laptop doesn't do Full HD. So the 1GB graphics card is better then probably (i5 system).

I would go for the i5 system and upgrade the RAM if you immediately. You will need 2 4GB sticks to replace the 2 2GB sticks pre-installed.

One last important note is that the HDD for both of these systems are the slowest types you could possibly ask for. If you can upgrade to 7200 RPM drive or an SSD (recommended) you will be much happier and notice the biggest difference. You can always hear that ugly HDD access it's sectors. When an SSD would have already had that job finished before the read head of the HDD even begins to pump out anything useful.
