For the past few months, I have had a lot of problems with playing Youtube videos between ~5pm-midnight. Even when trying to play at 240p during these times leads to a lot of buffering and sometimes just being completely unplayable, but during the day and late at night I can play 1080p with no problems.

All other websites and internet activities work just fine, and even during this time speedtest still gives results of 25+Mbps down, so it wouldn't appear to be my connection. What I am thinking is that it may be Comcast throttling Youtube, but I may be wrong. Does anyone else have any problems similar to this? If so, what ISP are you using? Also if anyone thinks there may be something I can do on my end to fix the problem, please let me know. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Clear your cache and cookies and history. For Chrome and Firefox, when it gets overcluttered, video/clips tends to become unbelievably laggy and buffering all the time. I don't know why or how this relates to the actual buffering and downloading but it works every time.!

I've tried that in the past, but it didn't even help. The problem also happened on my old PC, so I'm pretty sure its either the ISP or Youtube itself. Thanks for the input though
