Spent half a day trying to find a good deal on a laptop for my neighbor. The lenovo outlet was a real run around to say the least. They had the g570 with pentium b960 listed at 259 but when you go to purchase, well, that's a different story.
Neighbors are elderly and tried the windows 8 but couldn't handle it. They needed it to be similar to their desktop which is regular windows. They just play card games and stuff. Nothing gpu demanding.
I really like my lenovo and thought it would be a good dependable machine for them. I'm only familiar with pentium chips so that has been my search criteria. Officemax had a smokin deal on a g series i3, but when i called them it wasn't at that store and unavailable for shipping.
It's been nothing but hassle trying to get good value on a laptop with window 7. Anyone have some recommendations? Under 300, windows 7, pentium chip, 15"screen. That's it.
