Powerful, mobile laptop for video editing

Hello, I'm going to film school soon and I would like a laptop to do video editing on. Mobility is important (as are looks to some extent) because I'll be bringing it around with me, and I'll be using the newest versions of Avid, Premiere, and if I can get Mac OSX on it as a second OS, Final Cut Pro. I'd also maybe do some light gaming on it every now and then.

I was on XoticPC and customized a 15.6" ASUS Zenbook to have 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, would that be suitable for this? I've also been interested in getting those same specs on the Samsung Series 7 through XoticPC, but I'm not sure what laptop to go with. I want the laptop to last me a long time, so I have a high budget of around $2,500.

Any help would be much appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Oh, and I'd like to add one more candidate to the mix. The ASUS N56VJ, it's more expensive and slightly thicker/heavier, but it has a better processor. Between the ASUS and Samsung, the Samsung has a better GPU (650M vs 635M) and the ASUS has a better processor. Which is more important for video editing?

Also, I'd like to correct myself. The Zenbook only goes up to 12GB of RAM.
