So, I need a gaming notebook

Hello. I'm a brazilian grad student and I may have the chance to live in Hungary for a year. The government will provide me 1000 EUR so I buy a notebook/tablet. I will, also, sell my computer here, in Brazil, so I get more money. I think I can afford 500 EUR from myself. Can you guys show me some options or configurations?
I want a SSD, but I'm not sure how many GBs will be necessary.

oh, sorry. just read the faq:
1. What is your budget?
1000-1500 EUR

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Not big. 15" is fine.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1600x900 its ok. I will buy an extra monitor in the future.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I won't be moving it much.

5. How much battery life do you need?
I never had a notebook. I'll guess 2h browsing internet.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes! League of legends, Dota2, Call of Dutys, etc... High configurations!

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Just college stuff.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
128gb might be enough for windows + games. The rest i'll store in a external drive.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
None. Alienwares, maybe.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
Years! Lots of them

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD Writers are fine but since I'll be keeping it for a while, Bluray is an option.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I don't have preferences. I just don't want a toaster. People say that AMD gets hot!

13. What country do you live in?
Brazil, but I'll be able to buy it in Europe.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I think all the info needed is there. Just ask me if you want something more!

That's... not going to happen.

Anything that can game IS going to be large, and it IS going to get hot. What you're asking for is something that's small, able to game, quiet and cool, and will continue to be able to game for many years at high settings.

You may as well wish for a unicorn, I'm sorry.

Something that can get the gaming performance you want is going to cost twice as much, will be large, heavy, and hot.

(Also, just a note... do yourself a favor and do NOT buy alienware - they're about the worst product out there.)

As far as brands go for laptops, I really only know the US-based ones, but the two best ones out there are Falcon NW and Origin PCs.

Other than that, I'd recommend Asus's RoG series.

Here's the thing. An SSD, to me, is pretty much a must-have for any mobile computer - it doesn't get damaged from shocks, it makes your laptop boot very quickly, it makes your laptop feel more responsive and less like a, well, laptop, and it's cooler than a hard drive and completely silent.

However, laptop manufacturers know how good they are, and overcharge like crazy. I personally would buy one without an SSD, buy the SSD separately, and replace the hard drive, reinstalling windows. However, that can be a bit of a process - if you don't want to go through it, then yes, I'd recommend buying one with a SSD in it.

Try looking at Sager 15" model - rugged and very customizable. Xoticpc may ship international. Should be able to get one with a really nice 675mx gpu for less than 1500 Euro.

Hmm, I don't know the brand, but the specs are decent (Though the price does seem pretty high...)

However, I'll tell you something about the i5 mobiles - they don't work like desktop parts. They're just dual cores that run slightly faster than the i3s. If you're looking for a quad core, you need an i7 QM.
