our computer won't connect to wireless network. Error: wireless capacity is turned off. What does that mean? where is the wireless turn on button on the computer?

It means exactly what it says. The wireless adaptor is turned off. I suspect that you are using a laptop because laptops often have a switch that can turn off the wireless adaptor. As to where it's located, that depends on the manufacturer and model. My Lenovo has the switch located on the front panel just below and to the left of the touch panel. What is the manufacturer and model of the computer?

Hmm, Hadn't thought about that. Mine has an Fn key combo as well. It's Fn+F5. It causes a window to popup that allows the wireless adaptor to be turned on/off.
