Hey guys.

First of all thank you for reading! I have a relatively flexible budget of around £500 (It was originally £400 but things change quickly!), but as close to this as possible would be good!

What will I be using the laptop for? Well primarily I'll use the computer for work (I keep telling my self this to validate the purchase) so for internet browsing and software (which isn't particularly demanding). I also want to use the laptop for watching films and some gaming (games I will generally play won't have a high graphic requirement so don't worry too much about the graphics card, I have a desktop for more graphically intense stuff anyway). I will also be carrying this laptop around quite a lot.

What I would prefer:

  • ■ screen size of 15" (smaller is okay as well) which is fairly crisp
    ■ mimum of 4gb RAM
    ■ A good processor (I'm out of touch these days with what's considered a good processor!)
    ■ Touch screen? Why not if it fits my price range (though I'm not sure they are fully worth it yet)

And one finally question I ask is, is it worth going for an ultrabook?

Once again thanks for reading and help would truly be appreciated.

Joe
