First a little background info:
I am looking for a cheap laptop in the $500 to $600 range
It will mainly be used for school with some light gaming like starcraft 2, diablo 3, skyrim maybe even some new games on low settings
The 2 laptops i have been looking at are the:

I really need help deciding the 571 is a dual core but has a better graphics card......I think
and the 551 has a quad core but with a worse graphics card
Can someone please help?
