Hi,

2 weeks back I bought Denon 1312xp.I connected with my PC(desktop)

my system config is below :

Mother Board: Gigabyte X58- USB3
Processor : Inter Core i7 950 (3.07GHz)
Ram: DDR3 Corsair 6GB
Graphic Card : ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1024MBytes)
Operating System : Windows 7 (64 bit)

I connected the AVR to computer through HDMI cable( my graphic card having HDMI port)

There is no sound card, but my mother board(Gigabyte X58- USB3) supporting Dolby Home Theater, Will this do any good?

I tried many things, but still the same problems. The sound look like normal speaker one not effective.

Please help me out ........................

I am running my system through a home theater option...the best results and easiest way I've found, was to use the HDMI output on my video card, and run that to an input in the home theater (thus sending the surround sound and HDMI image in 1 simple cable).. Then the rest is self explanatory

If you are passing your audio via the HD7770, you must enable the AMD high-def audio device in your control panel sound menu. You should verify (normally within the HD sound-manager program) that the proper audio device has been selected. It may *take* several attempts for the HD sound manager program to accept your default settings from the control panel -- including the re-installation of your HD sound drivers.

I prefer connecting my computer via HDMI directly to the Big Screen. For the audio, this gives two choices:

1) *Pass-thru* the audio from the Big Screen to the receiver, either by coaxial or optical cable; or
2) Pass the audio via *Y* cables from the rear-analog computer sound ports to the red/white input analog ports on the receiver.

both your HT and PC support SPDIF as another option. set your sound device as mentioned previously choosing one of your SPDIF/Coaxial options, then refer to your HT manual for pairing the video and audio inputs.
