AMD A8 or 3rd gen Intel i5? Graphics card?

Basically I need a powerful yet budget friendly laptop for architecture school. It must run programmes such as Revit, 3ds Max and AutoCAD. Which of these processors would run the programmes better, A8 or i5, considering that I need poweful graphics?
My current laptop options are:
*HP Envy dv6/dv7
*Dell Inspiron 15R/17R
I need to run 3ds Max in windows 8, and the Autodesk site recommends FirePro or Quadro graphics cards. I can´t find a Dell or HP that comes with these cards, only Intel HD 4000, AMD Raedeon 7640G, or NVIDIA Ge Force. Which of the latter 3 is the best for running such programmes?

Also any laptop with a workstation class video card probably going to cost your $1000+

Right, so I´m not willing to spend that amout of money. So, my question is would Intel HD 4000, AMD Raedeon 7640G, or NVIDIA Ge Force work as good graphics cards for 3D modelling and rendering?
How about the A8 or i5 processors?

Those Firepro or Quadro cards are system REQUIREMENTS for those programs....you have LITTLE change of them even installing without them....

Hmm kinda hard questions as the I5 is a stronger CPU so if the 3d applications can make use of the CPU then that should be better than the AMD solution. However if those application and use GPU based acceration then the AMD APU maybe better.

If I was you do a search on Cuda and openCL accerlaton and see how much faster rending is done based on the method. Then you maybe able see which choice is beter i.e. if the I5 can render scene X in 5m but the A8 wth openCL does it in 4m then you have you answer.

AMD !!!!! they have a amazing built in GPU.... I have the 6520G running on 512MB and I can play nearly any game at 30fps.... I done batman akham asylum maxed out on my laptop and I get 36fps average, 53fps max and 17fps minimum... try that on your intel counterpart you wouldn't get near it.
