Hi there!

Since a few weeks i'm experiencing problems starting up mu Acer 6935G. The system is starting up (drive indication light lights up) but the screen sometimes remains black or starts up at half the normal brightness. if the screen is black at start up, I close and open the lid a few times and a 1378x768 resolution screen opens with the content split half way the screen.
WHAT is going on here??? Please help me out. Is anyone familiar with this problem

Is it the screen, the connector, the video card/driver? I'm lost....

The cheapest and most likely problem is the video cable. It could have just worked itself loose, or may have a bad connection somewhere in the line (usually at the hinge).

If it were the screen, the backlight would not be effected.

If you can plug it into an external monitor and get a good picture, you can rule out the video source/driver. And your back to a video cable :)
