Hello. A quick question just popped into my mind. I was wondering is there any way to unlock the password lock on Vista if you forget your password? Although this will most likely not happen to me ever, I want to know in case it does happen to me or someone else.

Thanks for taking your time to read this and answer. :)

You can create a password reset disk with windows vista. If you go to the control panel and then to user accounts and click to change you password its under tasks. I never forget my password but it always pays to be safe.

You can just click on your user picture on the lock screen or enter your
password to login again.

It's basically designed so if you're stepping away from your machine for a
few minutes you can lock the machine to prevent somebody else from snooping
around on your desktop, then when back login again. In fact it works the
same as the 'switch user' feature, in that it keeps you logged onto the
system, but requires you to click your user picture or enter a password to
show your desktop.

I hope this helps!
